Besides the GAS STATION PULP AWARD, Breeden's stories, "A Ticket to Paradise" and "Targets," were finalists for the RASH FICTION AWARD sponsored by the Broad River Review, and for the JAMES HURTST PRIZE FOR FICTION respectively. "Righteous Rita" was the editors' choice as BEST FICTION in the anthology Stuck in the Middle published by Mint Hill Books. The Shadow of Longing, a chapbook of poems, was published by the Finishing Line Press. Recent stories and poems have also appeared in the Apalachee Review, The Pisgah Review, Crime Factory, and Light Poetry.
